Meticulously crafted in the Japanese countryside, Chimala's hand-finished denim is special in its yarn dying, weaving and distressing processes. This expertly distressed, relaxed cropped jeans is made with a super soft, broken-in 13.5 oz. selvedge denim. It features a button fly, a deep rise, copper rivets and a narrow tapered fit.

Designer Details
Chimala, native american for "beauty", established in 2005 as a fully selvedge Japanese denim brand. Noriko Machida is responsible for the heritage inspired line and now steers a number of forward-thinking fashion projects. Chimala has attracted a cult following for its Japanese denim and is continuing to raise the bar by following high standard ethical practices. Often based off of classic workwear styles from the 1950's-70's, Chimala pieces are handcrafted by artisans in Machida's Japanese workshop. Chimala is designed to be baggy and worn away from the body, but allow for a closer fit by sizing down. The design of the selvedge denim reflects that of it's utilitarian inspiration and is worn well by anyone with a love for a classic jean.
Fit Guide
Care
Chimala: we do not recommend washing this denim often if at all. Please spot treat as needed with a mild detergent such as Tangent Denim Wash or hand wash by soaking in tepid water with Tangent Denim Wash, remove excess water by rolling in a large dry towel and hand to dry. Similarly, you can put your Chimala denim in a large plastic bag and pop in the freezer for a few hours to refresh
