Raquel Allegra
Experimentation is a hallmark of California-born designer Raquel Allegra’s approach to fashion. In 2009, she launched her collection with hand-shredded T-shirts repurposed from Los Angeles County Jail inmate uniforms. Since then, the art of shredding, which allows fabric to drape effortlessly across the back and shoulders, has become synonymous with her label. After the shredding technique was mastered, she moved on to hand dying her linen, cottons, + silks. Today, Allegra still favors a deconstructed look and roomy, casual cuts for a laid-back West Coast inspired style. Easy silhouettes, the perfect cut and pieces that fit every woman. Her hallmarks, our reasons to continue to love each collection, season after season.
